On Friday September 5, 2008 in her office. She told me that Fred came down to
see her about me, probably right after you called him. She said that their was a
Grade 23 that they would change the posting description so that I could be the
best choice. I asked her about the Grade 25 (Cindy Park left this position). She
said she would look into it and call me back on Monday (September 8, 2008).  
From her tone in the meeting with me, I believe that Vivienne is not trying hard
enough or doesn’t think I deserve a Grade 25, that’s how I feel. She called on
Monday September 8, 2008 at 3:45 PM and left a message for me stating that she
had spoken with

On what the plans were for the Grade 25 (Cindy Park Job). Vivienne told me that
Mike told her they were going to post the job, not changing the job posting
description and leave it as is. I do not what she meant by that?  I think what she is
saying that it would not be a Security Job that would make me the best choice and
the easy way to get me an up-grade. Or is she telling me this job is not for me
either like the other two Grade 25’s that I am interviewing. So is she telling me that
with three Grade 25 positions they can not do anything for me???



I don’t know what to do, I have a scheduled interview for the two Grade 25 positions
this coming Monday September 15, 2008 that I told you about in our earlier e-mails
which you can see by scrolling down if you don’t remember. It seems like Fred is
doing something but he is putting in Vivienne’s hands who probably doesn’t give a
you know what about me and my career and feeds Fred this BS about union
grievances. That is a crock because that’s how they get people in jobs by
customizing the job descriptions so their man or women gets the job or they just
give it to him like the Grade 23 at Deer Island Joe Di Maria got the job, because the
MWRA Board Member John Carroll called in the favor.

He always liked me and finally got me on his team but now he is leaving the
security group. I asked Vivienne about this job and she said it was going to be
used for Bruce McMillan (the black gentlemen that was originally a phone guy).
Victor’s job was non-union job probably big money, but I would think maybe they
could use his old job and make a different job for me.



Well that’s the story. I appreciate everything you are doing I know if it wasn’t for you
they wouldn’t have moved me to Security, which is a better place where people
treat me with some respect and I have freedom to get out of the office , and Fred
wouldn’t be sitting down talking to me.



IF I Had a choice I would like to stay in Security as a Grade 25, because I know this
group needs an engineer in the group to put together plans and specifications so
that projects can get bid on and manage on going consultant designed jobs, so the
need is their. Security is a great field that I can grow in and probably move my
career forward within the MWRA because there aren’t many people being trained
on this.
